Category A1 Rules For Motorcyclists

The rules for Category A1 are designed for those who want to drive small motorcycles. These motorcycles have a maximum cylinder capacity of 35 kW. They cannot be derived directly from vehicles with more than double their power.

Open category drone operations are separated into three subcategories - A1 to A3. You can fly current drones that have class labels C0 or C1 within the A1 subcategory (fly over people) until January 2024.

A1

Category A1 is one of the three EASA drone categories. It is applicable to aircraft that have a maximum take-off mass (MTOM) of up to 25 kilograms. It requires a record of flight, a flight plan and remote identification systems and a geoawareness. The drone should be within sight of the pilot at all at all times. It is prohibited to fly in the vicinity of people or areas that are used for commercial, recreational or industrial purposes. The drone must also stay less than 120 meters above the ground level.

If you want to fly a drone which isn't included in the categories above, you'll need an exclusive authorization from the Civil Aviation Authority. This is known as an operational authorisation. You can get more details about how to apply for this here.

A1 applicants must have a minimum 16 years of experience in two-wheeled vehicles. They must also complete the mandatory basic training and pass the theory test and practical test. They must also possess a valid medical certification.

A1 license holders can drive two-wheeled mopeds, as they ensure that their cylinder capacity is no more than 125 cc, and their power-to-weight ratio is no more than 0.1 kW/kg. They can also use motorcycles that have a cylinder capacity of no more than 125cc, as also quad bikes and trikes.

The category testy na prawo jazdy a1 driving licence is designed to facilitate access to the next vehicle category, which allows licence holders to drive vehicles with a maximum mass of up 35 kW. This permits you to gain experience driving smaller-powered vehicles before moving up to higher licence categories.

Drones currently in use but don't have the CE mark can still be flown under subcategory "zasady kategorii a1" until January 1 2024. A2

If you've completed your CBT training and are looking to get a motorcycle license You may be eligible for a category-A1 licence. This allows you drive an unrestricted motorcycle without a sidecar. The bike must have the capacity of 125cc and the maximum power output of 11kW. You must also be at least 16 years old to obtain this license. You can also fly in the A2 sub-category with drones with a mass of up to 4kg but you must keep them at a safe distance from other people during take off and landing. The drones must remain at least 30m in horizontal distance from people when in low-speed mode or 5m if they are not in use. To fly in this category, you must be able to pass the A2 Certificate of Competence exam (A2 CofC).

If you plan to fly larger drones, you must apply for a specific category operator's permit, which requires completing the General VLOS Certificate (GVC) training and flight assessment, plus preparing an Operations Manual. A2 allows you to fly transitional drones that aren't CE-marked, but they have been modified to lessen collision risks with people. You will only be able to fly these drones in A2 until 2022 deadline, after which they'll be required to comply with A3 rules.

The A1 and A2 categories will allow you to develop into a confident and secure motorcyclist. The number of lessons required depends on your level of ability and progress in learning, but you must complete a specific amount of special rides. This includes at least five-hour lesson on country roads and four on highways and three in the morning or at night.

A3

This class of drones can be used with a an maximum takeoff mass of 25 kg. Although it is a less risk operation, strict measures must be taken to minimize possible incidents. A distance of 150m is required between drones and commercial, residential industrial, recreational and residential areas. This category also requires drones to be equipped with a remote identifier system and a Geoawareness System.

Similar to the Open category this tier is subdivided into subcategories A1, A2 and A3. The A1 subcategory allows drones with Class Identification Label C0 or C1 to fly over individuals who are not in the drone. It requires a minimum distance of 30 metres from other drones when flying at flight altitude, or 5 meters in slow flight mode.

Drones with the Class Identification Label C2 can be operated under subcategory A2 when they meet the requirements for size and the remote pilot has passed a knowledge test. This exam is designed to allow the remote pilot to assess their understanding of the technical and operation mitigations to address the additional dangers associated with flying larger drones (class A2, below 4kg mass) close to people. The certificate of competence to fly Category A2 is given after successful completion of this test.

There are transitional arrangements which allow older drones that are not certified, to be operated under categories procedura uzyskania prawa jazdy a1 and/or A2 for a period of two years following the introduction of the new EU regulations. Legacy drones must not be flown over people and must carry an A2 CofC.

To operate a drone in this category you must pass the standard online flyer ID test and then pass an additional theoretical test. You must also prove that you have some real-world understanding of your drone and submit a written declaration of competency. These requirements are similar to the driving licence model, where those who first get the licence for a lower powerful vehicle category will be able to gain access to the higher category.

A4

The DOH is currently working on detailed guidelines that will be used for category A4. These guidelines will be compatible with other operations and will include specifics such as the number of dressings changed each day. They will be presented to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infections (IATF-EID) and the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group. Before they are finalized the guidelines will be vetted and approved by both the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group and the IATF EID.

In this category, drones sporting a class identification label C0 and C1 are permitted to fly within a minimum distance of 50 meters of individuals who aren't involved. This is a low-risk category, but strict precautions are required to reduce incidents. Drones classified as A1 or A2 are required to be able to pass an additional theoretical test before they can operate in this subcategory.

This test is designed to assess the level of knowledge about the risks associated with flying drones near people. The certificate of competence is issued after successful completion of this test. The operator must maintain a minimum distance of 30 metres between the aircraft and all uninvolved persons, or 5 metres when flying in slow-flight mode.

You must take an amount of lessons to pass the theory test, and then you must pass the practical test. It is contingent on your age, abilities and progress in learning. But, at least 12 lessons lasting 90 minutes are required to be completed.

In these classes, you will become familiar with your car and the traffic laws. You will also receive valuable tips on how to operate your vehicle in difficult situations. In addition to the required classes, you are required to attend specific number of special rides.

The new category E effectively combines the classes A1 (retail), A2 (financial services and professional services), B1 (offices), A4 (restaurants/cafes), and B5 for takeaway hot food. It also includes health/medical uses as well as creches and nurseries, as well as indoor sports/recreation facilities. The new licensing system is expected to simplify and cut costs.
