Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib, also referred to as a baby bassinet is placed near your bed so you can be able to take care of your baby during night feedings and nappy-changings without having to leave bed. These cribs are fantastic for helping to build independence in your child as they become more comfortable in their own space to sleep.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside travel crib, allowing parents to rest with their infant while ensuring that they are sleeping safely. Its smooth glide will help to calm your baby and its unique features allow you to monitor your child without leaving your bed.

The cot's sliding side panel raises and lowers at the touch of a button, making it a breeze to reach in and soothe a baby at night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that let it accommodate the mattress of nearly every size bed. Additionally, it has adjustable folding feet to ensure that it is at the right height.

The cot is cushioned and features mesh sides for better the airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It is also wipeable and you can keep the cot clean. It includes a fitted bed sheet that can be used for the crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other bedside cribs is compatible with all beds including divans. This is because of the straps and clips that connect it. It can be used as a standalone crib when it is not connected to the bed. It is packed with wonderful features that were designed with baby and parent bonding in mind.

One thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is perfect for infants, it will not last long after your little one turns six months old, which means you will have to purchase larger cots. However, overall Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she particularly liked its sleek design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be a reasonable price for a cot featuring such innovative features. She liked the way it looked in her bedroom, and thought its grey color would fit most modern homes. She did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside baby bed crib is designed to give you the best sleep possible. It comes with an adjustable side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is great for mothers who breastfeed! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or when traveling.

It's made from soft materials and has mesh sides that breathe to increase airflow. It is available in charcoal or oak and a range of melange fabrics that blend with a variety of styles. Anna found it solid and secure when it was attached to her bed with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured for baby-safety. It took her around 10 minutes to put together and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video as well as a customer support number if you encounter any problems.

The CoZee crib is equipped with all the features you'd expect from a crib for your bedside, such as the ability to connect it to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. In addition, there is an inclines feature that can be used to help infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It is also machine-washable - a must for all the dribbles, vomit, and snot that accompany a new baby!

If you want to keep your baby close to you during the first six months of their life when they're beginning to learn to sleep independently, the CoZee is a fantastic option as it can also be used as a separate cot, changing table or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. It will not feed your baby or magically make them sleep, it will rock them to send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. It does have numerous excellent features. It's designed as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings and legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.

Our testers appreciated the ease of use offered by the side panel that can be moved up and downwards with just one click of a button. This was especially helpful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lowered by itself, too however it isn't advised as it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the bed of the parent correctly. This is an excellent feature to have for peace mind, particularly in the case of breastfeeding and frequent feedings at night.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases or beds with drawers. It comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux, as well as an option to rock to ease them into sleep after a feeding. It's also very large and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it comes with an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still fairly mobile and can be moved from room room easily. It's also able to fold into a bag for travel cot bedside crib, which is ideal for those who want to transport it. The only drawback our test subjects found was that the side panel did not flex as much as some of the other models, which made it slightly harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option for a crib that grows with your child. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed and convert into a chic cot when your baby is ready. It's perfect for night-time feeds and fostering a bond with your newborn.

Unlike some other models of bedside crib like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The dual-view mesh side panels and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. A gentle incline helps to reduce colic and reflux while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby at night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to get started. It took us an hour to complete and was relatively easy to put together. The only drawback to the instructions was that some images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of top quality.

In the co-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section since it allows them to comfortably reach out to their infant to feed and comfort them without having to get up from their own bed. It's also great for mothers who wish to avoid the difficulty of getting into and out of a traditional cot, or putting their baby down to sleep.

During our tests we observed the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be especially beneficial in lulling babies back to sleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a huge selling point for our tired test moms. Although it doesn't rock, or have additional features such as an audio system, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our best small bedside cot crib reviews.
